The touring windshield is generally longer, and sometimes wider than the original windshield, to better protect the rider from wind and weather. Depending on the angle of the windshield, in some models the rear edge of the windshield is also tilted upwards as a wind deflector across its entire width. This makes riding more comfortable even on longer trips.
