The Touratech Suspension Extreme Shock Absorber represents the absolute premium class in suspension technology. This Extreme Shock Absorber for the Triumph Tiger Explorer is perfectly designed for touring and riding operations with frequently and heavily changing loads and riding conditions or extreme requirements. The Extreme Shock Absorber features PDS, a hydraulic bottoming protection achieved by using a second damping piston. Even under the most extreme trail conditions with full luggage, there is no bottoming out, preventing mechanical overload of the shock absorber. The damping operates based on the position. In the majority of riding situations, the shock absorber is comfortably and power-saving adjusted, before the PDS engages in the last part of the shock absorber's travel.
This means for you: Any luggage volume from the tail bag to the loaded luggage system and/or passenger operation is accommodated by the Extreme adjustment range. The balance of the motorcycle can be easily and quickly restored by you using the hydraulic preload adjustment via the handwheel. The very finely adjustable damping at the reservoir allows for an effective, precise, and personalized suspension setting for any road condition and purpose, whether on highways, federal roads, small country roads, off-road sections, long-distance travel with large luggage, or spirited, ambitious riding style.
