Product information "Touratech Suspension Shock Absorber for Honda XRV750 Africa Twin from 1993 Type Level 1"
This shock absorber is the right choice for the Honda XRV750 Africa Twin during normal touring operations. The shock absorber type offers a wide adjustment range and high reserves for the demands of motorcycle travel. The separation piston design and finely adjustable damping allow for a more precise adjustment and balance than is possible with the series components of motorcycle manufacturers. The spring preload can be adjusted with a tool to accommodate the large travel luggage. The damping adjustment of this Level 1 shock absorber allows for the necessary influence on the rebound and compression stages to meet your individual requirements for riding comfort.
Important points at a glance:
=> The shock absorber is configured and ready to ride based on our experiences for the Honda XRV750 Africa Twin.
=> Parameters include: vehicle weight / linkage of the shock absorber / structural conditions / test rides.
=> The shock absorber mentioned here is designed for a rider weight of up to 100kg including travel luggage.
=> For all suspension solutions, the rear and front areas of the motorcycle should be adjusted.
=> The suitable component for the front of the Honda XRV750 Africa Twin is:
=> Progressive fork springs, Hyperpro Honda XRV750 Africa Twin 01-040-7415-0
=> When replacing only one component, optimal riding behavior will not be achieved.
The equipment installed here with its adjustment options is sufficient if the suspension only needs to be adjusted for different loading conditions rarely.
Features of the Touratech Suspension Level 1 Shock Absorber:
=> The shock absorber housing is made of aluminum.
*** This results in the lowest possible weight.
=> Special, low-friction seals are installed.
*** This results in very low wear and a long lifespan of the shock absorber.
=> Stable stainless steel bushings for the mounting screws are installed in the shock absorber eye.
*** This ensures a stable, play-free fit of the mounting screw even under the highest loads.
=> All components are designed for intensive use with heavy touring motorcycles.
=> The damping settings were developed based on the experiences and requirements of Touratech.
*** The basis is many travel kilometers and the experiences from the operations of the Touratech Race Team.
=> Separation piston design. This allows the damping fluids oil and nitrogen to act separately.
*** Finer response of the shock absorber.
*** High, precise damping performance even at very high damping frequencies (bad roads, tracks).
*** Better cooling of the shock absorber.
*** Minimal restrictions on the installation position of the shock absorber in the motorcycle.
=> QR code on the shock absorber with individual shock absorber information.
*** This allows easy retrieval of shock-specific information by scanning with a smartphone.
*** Always accessible information on the basic setting of the shock absorber. Reset possible in case of incorrect settings.
If you have installed a larger tank than the original tank on your motorcycle or made modifications for additional luggage storage on your motorcycle, adjustments are possible. The shock absorber will then be individually adjusted to your needs by us with a spring of higher spring rate. Please use our suspension check form and send us the completed form.
