The Touratech Suspension Closed Cartridge is simply put a shock absorber for the fork. The Closed Cartridge is installed on the right side of the original fork. This way, the fork bridge/handlebar mount, brakes, wheel guidance, and steering geometry remain fully intact. No additional modifications to the left fork leg are required. This Closed Cartridge is specifically designed for the intensive touring riding of the BMW F850GS, which often experiences significant changes in load and riding conditions. Our Closed Cartridge elevates the front of the BMW F850GS to a new level of riding pleasure and performance.

Any luggage volume from the tail bag to the loaded luggage system and/or passenger operation is accommodated by the adjustment ranges of spring preload, rebound, and compression. The cartridge is fully adjustable from the top. In a closed cartridge (Cartridge), oil and nitrogen are separated by a bladder, which guarantees constant and temperature-independent damping. This results in the Closed Cartridge providing a significantly finer and more pleasant response of the fork. The combined rebound/compression adjustment allows for an effective, precise, and personalized suspension setup that suits your riding style at any time. Built for every road condition and purpose, whether on highways, federal roads, small country roads, off-road sections, long-distance travel with large luggage, or spirited, ambitious riding style. Should exceptionally harsh road conditions affect the front wheel, the integrated "Hydraulic Endstop" prevents mechanical bottoming out of the fork.

This premium shock absorber is consistently designed for long-distance travel with heavy luggage, on any road surface, including off-road stages. This Touratech Suspension DDA / Plug & Travel shock absorber is simply swapped for the BMW DDC shock absorber. The existing connectors and switches on the handlebars are used as usual. Thus, this shock absorber is integrated into the motorcycle via the original BMW control unit. This shock absorber can be used in combination with the original BMW front shock absorber. The Touratech suspension adjusts to your adventure. You just have to ride.
