Touratech Engine Protection "Expedition" for BMW F850GS/F850GS Adventure/F750GS

The developers at BMW have created a motorcycle with the F900GS/F850GS that invites you to take excursions into the terrain. Some of the positive off-road characteristics have been further improved by our Touratech developers.

Larger damages, such as holes in the engine block, can be effectively avoided with the large Touratech engine protection.

For maximum stability, the 4mm thick aluminum base plate features multiple contoured recesses, and the force of an impact is distributed over 6 mounting points thanks to an additional lower stainless steel mounting plate on the engine. The ground clearance is not restricted by these two base plates.

Additionally, plastic rails at the lower part of the base plate ensure that the already recessed screw heads are completely covered. This allows the engine protection to be easily removed even after heavy off-road use.
Last but not least, the plastic rails facilitate the "sliding over" of stones, rocks, or tree stumps.
They also help prevent dirt from settling.
