The ground clearance is not restricted by these two base plates. Additionally, plastic rails at the lower part of the base plate ensure that the already recessed screw heads are completely covered. This means that the engine protection can still be easily removed even after heavy off-road use. Last but not least, the plastic rails facilitate the "sliding over" of stones, rocks, or tree stumps.
