The Touratech crash bar extension protects the sensitive radiator, the fairing, and even the tank of the new water-cooled boxer!
BMW has installed the water radiators on the R1200GS as closely as possible, but unfortunately, the lower corners still protrude significantly. Just one unfortunate tip-over is enough, and the journey is over for the time being. Expensive repairs are the result.
Scratches on the fairing parts, which would constantly annoy you, won't occur with the Touratech crash bar extension!
Made exclusively from robust electropolished stainless steel, the extension is resistant to rust. Even deeper scratches lose their terror and can simply be sanded down.
Despite the impressive pipe diameters, the crash bar is mounted as close as possible to and symmetrically to the vehicle axis. It has virtually no impact on lean angles or ground clearance. The crash bar extension is thus visually integrated as part of the motorcycle.

- in the event of a fall or when the machine tips over, the forces generated are absorbed and redirected through the engine crash bar to designated areas without causing significant damage
- protects the rider and motorcycle with generously sized cross-sections even in the event of a frontal impact
