During many of our trips to dusty and dry countries, as well as during most sports and rally events, we faced the issue of fine dust repeatedly entering the intake tract through the air filters. This sometimes had significant consequences for the engine. Over the past few years, we have tried and tested many air filters. We found the solution to our dust problem in Australia. The focus is on weight savings (typically a reduction of about 70% compared to the original part) and increased stiffness. The carbon part has been completely manufactured in the autoclave from prepreg material (see FAQ) according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, has been coated with a clear plastic layer in the next step to protect against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But not only does the coating excel technically, it also emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure even more clearly.
