Product information "Engine Protection RALLYE Evo, Black Aluminum for KTM 790 Adventure/ 790 Adventure R"
KTM has brought the 790 with racing DNA to the streets. However, the original engine and tank protection is more of an aesthetic rounding than real protection.
This led to a comprehensive requirement profile for our engine protection "RALLYE Evo". It must be "rock-solid", look good, and should neither restrict freedom of movement nor add unnecessary weight to the vehicle.
RALLYE Evo: The probably most robust engine protection in the world!
The experiences from 20 years of production of many tens of thousands of engine protectors were utilized in the design and optimal sizing of the materials. Insights from years of use of our engine protectors, as well as feedback from our customers on previous generations of engine protection, were taken into account in the new RALLYE Evo engine protection.
The result is a clever 3-part construction. This simplifies assembly and saves unnecessary additional weight. The resulting complete 360° protection ensures that even in the toughest off-road use, the engine, exhaust system, and critical areas of the tank are protected. Both stone impacts and ground contact can hardly harm your KTM 790.
The 3-part construction is supported by the use of two specially manufactured aluminum alloys. Each optimized for its specific application area. However, they share one thing in common: both are 4 mm thick.
The special structure of the extended base plate, together with the high-strength material, provides maximum rigidity up to the catalytic converter. Even in rough off-road use, it protects both the engine and the exhaust system equally. Flat approach angles make it easier to overcome obstacles of any kind, whether it's a tree trunk or a curb. Professional robotic welding on high-quality tools ensures consistent quality.
The two separately mounted tank protection plates are hydroformed for a perfect fit. They protect not only the widely protruding lower areas of the tank but also the fuel pump and fuel taps like a turtle's shell.
The large cooling opening for improved engine cooling remains intact but can be protected from flying stones with the optionally available grids (372-5016) if needed.
The simple attachment is done at suitable positions on the vehicle. A stainless steel reinforcement in the rear part provides additional lateral support.
The parallel use of Touratech crash bars is also uncomplicated.
In keeping with the motto: "As close-fitting as possible, as much freedom as necessary," there are no restrictions on ground clearance or lean angle freedom. Moreover, all screws are recessed in the smooth bottom. This not only increases durability but also ensures better handling off-road. By the way, the flat bottom design is also suitable for use with a motorcycle stand.
"State of the art" technology combined with "state of the art" design
