The carbon tail fairing for the Ducati 1199 Panigale replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically a reduction of about 70% compared to the original component) and increased stiffness. The carbon part has been completely manufactured from prepreg material (see FAQ) according to the latest guidelines in an autoclave and, as is customary with us, coated with a clear plastic coating in the next step to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But not only does the coating excel technically, it also emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure even more clearly.
