The carbon instrument cover for the BMW M 1000 RR from model year 2021 and BMW S 1000 RR from model year 2021 replaces the original component using the original mounting points.

The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% savings compared to the original component) and increased stiffness. The carbon part has been completely manufactured from prepreg material (see FAQ) according to the latest guidelines in an autoclave and, as is customary with us, coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating significantly outperforms the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But not only does the coating excel technically, it also emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure even more clearly.
