Carbon Exhaust Heat Shield Lower Muffler Exhaust ESD for BMW R1200GS LC + Adventure LC

The lower exhaust heat shield in carbon for the BMW R 1200 GS (LC) replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically a reduction of about 70% compared to the original part) and increased stiffness.

For this thermally highly stressed carbon part, we use special high-temperature prepreg (see FAQ) to prevent discoloration and yellowing.

The carbon part has been completely manufactured from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic coating in the next step to protect against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly outperforms the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But not only does the coating excel technically, it also emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure even more clearly.
