The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% savings compared to the original component) and increased stiffness. The carbon part is made entirely from prepreg material (see FAQ) according to the latest guidelines in an autoclave, and in the next step, as is customary for us, it is coated with a clear plastic layer for protection against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But not only does the coating excel technically, it also enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
