EBC replaces the rigid original disc with a Full Floater brake disc

The manufacturing of the complex and expensive Full Floaters offers significant advantages when braking. The brake ring, sawed, drilled, and ground from forged HPSR steel bars, can expand freely even during repeated hard braking, for example, during mountain descents, without deforming. Here, the low carbon content of the used HPSR steel proves beneficial, as it ensures very little microstructural change in the steel under the thermal stress of heating and cooling the brake disc in tough road conditions. An EBC Full Floater brake disc is always a significant gain in safety.
