Akrapovic Evolution Line (Titanium) for Yamaha YZ450F

The close collaboration between the racing department and the research and development department of Akrapovič has resulted in an exhaust system that is almost identical in specifications to the system with which the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team will compete in the Motocross World Championship season 2023. The custom design fits into the limited space of the motorcycle and is as large as the available space allows. This enables increased sound damping to mitigate the impact on the environment while simultaneously improving exhaust flow. Thus, the exhaust gases can exit the combustion chamber with as few restrictions as possible.

The system, made entirely from lightweight, high-quality titanium alloys, offers a weight saving of 20.4% (0.9 kg) compared to the stock exhaust system. Different thicknesses of the individual sections provide perfect protection and reduce overall weight, while the additional strength created by the design also ensures higher durability under the most challenging conditions. The exhaust system offers better throttle response across the entire RPM range, with power and torque increased by 1.8 kW (2.4 hp) at 10,600 RPM and 1.5 Nm at 10,500 RPM in back-to-back tests compared to a stock exhaust system.

A new profiled surface that shapes the deep, full sound, and an integrated resonance chamber for optimal performance and appropriate sound of an Akrapovič exhaust system are designed to ensure that this system complies with the FIM noise limits for competition. A special technique was used for the imprinting of the logo on the surface: there is no sticker or engraving, but a new way to apply the logo. The system was developed solely for use on closed racetracks and is easy to install via plug-and-play, without the need for re-mapping.
