In the central area of the rear tire, there are only a few grooves. This guarantees stability, especially at high speeds. Footpeg Lowering Kit Adjustable for BMW R1100RT incl. ABEWith the new footpeg adapter, no wish remains unfulfilled. As diverse as its adjustment options are, so are its applications. The adapter in its basic form fits 98% of all motorcycle models. Its adjustability is complemented by a universal adapter for a 40 mm lowering. It is adjustable in increments of 4°. Generally, the basic adapter can be mounted either upwards or downwards. This allows you to achieve a natural ergonomics and a healthier seating position. The optimal leg angle is 90°. When the leg angle is bent, the blood vessels also bend, resulting in insufficient oxygen supply to the leg, which can lead to the dreaded varicose veins.After installation, the adapters can be adjusted so that the footpeg is positioned vertically downwards, keeping the distance to the shift and brake lever relatively constant. For the R1100RT, the elongated hole under the shift lever must be slightly enlarged to adjust the shift lever accordingly! Please note that on newer BMW models, nothing can be adjusted on the brake side. However, you will quickly get used to the changed foot position, just as you do in a car.Please consider that lowering the footpeg also means less lean angle. The hydraulic brake master cylinder model 288 from MAGURA has been produced thousands of times since 1988 and is primarily used as standard equipment on various BMW models. Starting from the K1 through the R 1100 4-valve boxer series to the R1150 series from model year 2002.
