This product replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% savings compared to the original part) and increased stiffness. The carbon part has been completely manufactured in the autoclave from prepreg material (see FAQ) according to the latest guidelines and, as is customary with us, coated with a clear plastic layer for protection against environmental influences in the next step. This plastic coating significantly outperforms the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But not only does the coating excel technically, it also emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure even more clearly.

The tank cover in carbon for the BMW K 1600 GT / K 1600 GTL  and K 1600 Bagger (from 2017) greatly highlights the sporty look of the motorcycle. The original plastic piece is replaced with a carbon piece and screwed on using the standard mounting points. The tankcover in carbon for the BMW F 800 R (2009-2014) / S (2006-now) / ST (2006-now) / GT (2012-now) is a direct replacement for the original component and contributes mainly to weight saving on the motorcycle (up to 70% less) and a higher stiffness of the parts.Like all of our carbon fibre parts. it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current 'best of industry' practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fibre materials using an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts. we use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance. but also protects the carbon fibre from scratching and has a unique UV resistance.
