BATTLAX-BT-016-PROSPORT MOTORCYCLE TIRE The front and rear wheels of the new Battlax BT 016 Pro feature the well-known Bridgestone Multi-Layer Compound technologies. Each wheel is constructed with two different rubber compounds using the 3LC (Three Layer Compound) process: The compound in the center of the tread ensures good braking force transfer at the front wheel and high traction and mileage at the rear wheel, while the rubber compound on the tire shoulder is responsible for maximum grip in lean angles. The rubber compounds used in the BT 016 Pro have been completely newly developed, providing the BT 016 Pro with further improved wet grip while also increasing mileage. The technologies "Silica Rich EX" (increased silica content in the compound) and "RC Polymer" are employed. "RC Polymer" supports the silica effect and simultaneously controls the temperature-dependent change of the rubber compound. The construction of the front and rear wheels is based on Bridgestone's proven HTSPC platform (High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord) with MSB steel belt (Mono Spiral Belt). Thanks to this construction, controlling slides and maintaining line stability in corners is optimized without sacrificing good shock absorption. The increased stiffness of the construction helps maintain a consistent contact patch and stability at high speeds. PRO Tank Ring
The PRO tank ring perfectly combines the innovative power of two German companies: The proven QUICK-LOCK latch mechanism of the SW-MOTECH tank rings can now be operated even more easily thanks to the magnetic guiding aid of Fidlock technology. We have significantly improved the positioning of the upper ring: The movable upper ring is already pre-mounted with a guide rail on the tank bag, and the tank bag does not need to be drilled. This allows the upper ring to be individually aligned on the guide rail at the bottom of the tank bag. Once the appropriate position is found, the upper ring is securely screwed in place. When switching to another motorcycle, the position of the upper ring can be adjusted accordingly. The magnetic guiding aid, developed by Fidlock, complements the already mature mechanical QUICK-LOCK latch mechanism from SW-MOTECH: The magnets guide the upper ring into the correct position on the tank ring, and the latch clicks securely into place. Thus, the power of the magnets supports the placement of the tank bag. Attach the tank bag with one hand and drive off – the luggage is secure, and it’s also fun. The mechanical latch mechanism secures the tank bag, and the magnets guide the two parts of the ring together. The robust fiberglass-reinforced plastic with its highly precise latch geometry ensures that the tank bag remains firmly in place in all road conditions. The patented PRO tank ring is tailored to the fuel filler neck of the motorcycle model. This ensures the best possible positioning on the tank.
