This not only improves the flexibility of the rubber but also enhances grip on various surfaces as well as in wet and low-temperature conditions.   The rear tire features a 3LC rubber compound with a cap-and-base structure: the softer outer rubber compound provides outstanding grip, while the inner compound is more stable and gives the tire optimal stiffness.   The tread pattern of the T31 has a higher number of grooves in the shoulder area, allowing for better water drainage. In the central area of the rear tire, there are only a few grooves. This guarantees stability, especially at high speeds.
